What next?

After announcing to bring in a new CEO for Qype, I have been asked about 15 times today:

What do you do next?

So what is next?

I like to believe believe that I will start another company some time in the future.  I always carry a list of between 10 and 15 viable business ideas around. Some get added every month, some deleted. Recently, about one third of the entries in the lists evolves around ideas to reduce the excessive wast of resources that we all engage in. I would really love to do something in that field.

I also eventually will  continue with some angel investments. Helping entrepreneurs to start is something worth while doing.

However:

My first project is to act according to the advice from some good friends with similar experiences:

Take a couple of months off.

    Welcome to the club of founding business angels, which is the next step after building some companies successfully. For my part I enjoy it a lot.

    Stephan,

    I can highly recommend a long trip to the east coast of australia… learn surfing and diving, eat good food, great wine and enjoy the country and people… then chill out in the whitsundays… something to look back to for a lifetime… available for every budget, you just need time…

    Maybe do a round-the-world trip and stop for a sunny beer on the beach in Brazil? ;) Congratulations for getting Qype where it is! Hope your future projects are at least as successful!

    Thank you everyone for this. @Jan and Helder – both suggestions are very tempting indeed and as I have never been to Brazil… however, there is a small problem with these things if you do have a kids in school it reduces the options somewhat.
